At TV Magic a few things set us apart from the competition.
● We take pride in honest, detailed communications with our clients so that we never lose sight of your expectations.
● We represent an exceptionally large number of manufacturers and so we can use just the right product to fit your
application and budget rather than make you adapt to a limited line of products.
● We give you a return on investment by delivering a system that you can keep operating without interruption, and
that you can readily maintain and upgrade.
● We think you and your management will appreciate the “fit and finish” of our systems, too.
We do this by dividing our work into five definable phases:
Define
In the first phase, we ask a lot of questions to come up with working solutions that fit your budget. What is your workflow so that we can help your staff do its job the most efficient way? How much money can you spend so that we can scale the project appropriately? What existing equipment should be reused? What signals must flow into and out of your system?
Once we understand your needs completely, we develop a set of specifications, simple flow diagrams and a preliminary equipment shopping list for your review.
Plan
We take your ideas and turn them into ready-to-build documentation. Just like an architect, we get down and dirty with detail, placing every piece of equipment in racks, laying out your operation space, writing specifications for space and cooling, drawing complete signal flow diagrams that account for every cable and connector, and listing all of the equipment needed.
We establish a timeline that considers your requirements, access, staffing, and equipment delivery times.
Build
At this stage, we take our documentation package and roll up our sleeves. We order the equipment. At your facility, we install the equipment in racks and run cable with an experienced crew. Every cable is identified with a label that makes it easy to trace.
A project manager assures inventory control, supports our crews, and works to make sure your expectations are being met as the project progresses.
Test
We know you will have to depend on your equipment for a long time, so we check it out before we turn it over to you. We make sure our wiring was done correctly. We configure the new equipment. Then we test all of the expected functions to assure it’s ready for work. We update the drawings to match the system as built.
Teach
We teach your staff how to operate and maintain your shiny new system and update the drawing files for long-term ownership. Operations training is likely to involve factory specialists for some of the more complex gear.
