Challenge

The HP Pavilion is home to the NHL's San Jose Sharks, Stanford Cardinal Basketball and a variety of top drawing concerts and public events.

Soultuion

Working with performing arts/media facilities planning and design consultant Auerbach, Pollock Friedlander, TV Magic was brought in to provide critical design review, and equipment installation, commissioning and training of the new High Definition control room, HD event coverage and robotic cameras, the arena HD cable multi channel feed system, and coaches video review systems. The HP Pavilion is the first arena with an HD multi channel commercial insertion facility. Other system highlights are a powerful six channel media playback and record system and a technical feature that will accept any format external analog or digital video signal and covert it to HP's internal 720P signal format.
